FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT - CONSTRUCTION - ENGINEERING - GALWAY

JOB DESCRIPTION

Our client are industry leaders in providing project solutions for the
water and wastewater industry including design, construction,
commissioning, operation and maintenance. 

They are seeking a financial accountant with background experience
working within the construction / engineering industries on Project
Costings.

Assist with month end close and delivery in accordance with group
deadlines.

Act as first point of contact to the operations team for finance
related queries.

Willingness to travel within Ireland and the UK in support of business
needs.

Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly
forecasts. 

Liaise with external auditors.

Monthly/Weekly accounting duties for all trading entities.

Ad hoc reporting as required.

Flexibility to work independently when required and adapt to a fast
changing, dynamic environment in a results-oriented manner

Deadline driven with attention to details.

Maintain select Balance Sheet accounts, including, but not limited to;
inter-company. reconciliations, accrual listings, prepayment listings.

Actively support Continuous Improvement.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong commercial acumen.

REQUIREMENTS

A qualified accountant with 3+ years Post Qualification with some
experience working within the construction / engineering sectors.

Experience of ERP systems, SAP would be an advantage

Experience of Accounts preparation, analysis, reconciliation and
Project Costings 

Highly developed communications capability.

Cross function relations development.

Demonstrate critical thinking skills.

Performance driven.

Excellent analytical and numerical skills
